Soak in the Stars includes 45 minutes of guided astronomy and storytelling beneath the world-renowned skies of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. Using high-powered telescopes, our expert guides reveal planets, stars, galaxies and other celestial wonders visible in the southern hemisphere, while sharing fascinating astronomy, Maori star stories and cultural perspectives on the night sky. If weather conditions limit telescope viewing, the experience continues indoors with an immersive guided Virtual Reality journey through the Tekapo night sky. The tour finishes with 30 minutes of soaking in the hot pools while a guide is sitting poolside, sharing stories about the Maori mythology. The hot pool experience operates in all weather conditions.
